A few days after being confirmed as Bellator's new fighter, Chael Sonnen He wasted no time and has already challenged whoever is his first opponent in the new home. The loudmouth suggested a fight against Tito Ortiz, former UFC light heavyweight champion.

Sonnen confirmed that he is a longtime rival of Ortiz, with whom he has had a feud since his college wrestling days. Therefore, he suggested that they both resolve their differences in Bellator's circular cage.
"I'm in tour to beat up legends and I'll start with Tito Ortiz on November 19th. All I need is a contract. This couldn't be a more official challenge. I don’t have the linguistic ability to challenge someone more clearly than that,” said Sonnen, in an interview with “The MMA Hour” podcast.
However, the American assured that he will only continue with his plans to face Ortiz if his rival responds to his challenge. “If Tito doesn’t want to accept it, I will never provoke him again. I'm not here to bother you. [If he doesn't respond] I'll take that as a 'no' and move on. But at the moment my message is: November 19th, 'The Bad Boy vs The Bad Guy'”, he added, referring to both of their nicknames.
The event in question mentioned by Sonnen is Bellator 165, which takes place in the city of San José, California (USA). The show already has two fights confirmed so far: Benson Henderson x Michael chandler for the lightweight belt, and Michael Page x Fernando Gonzalez in a welterweight duel.
