The UFC acted quickly to reinforce its staff after the departure of a key member. Former president of the Legacy FC event, Mick Maynard will be the new matchmakers of Ultimate and will become one of those responsible for the matchmaking of fights in the main organization on the planet.

The information was anticipated on the “Combate” channel website. Maynard's arrival coincides with the departure of Joe Silva, who has worked at the UFC since 2001. Silva will step down as matchmakers at the beginning of next year, precisely the period that will see Maynard's arrival.
