Considered the biggest star of women's MMA, Ronda Rousey She may return to action in 2016 in a fight valid for the UFC women's bantamweight belt. According to the organization's president, Dana White, a fight between the North American and the current weight champion, Amanda nunes, is in Ultimate's plans for the end of the year.

Ronda was champion of the division since its creation in the UFC, in 2013, until November 2015. Amanda won the belt in July this year, at UFC 200, when she submitted Miesha Tate still in the first round.
Since losing the title to Holly holm, Ronda gives no clues as to when or where she will return to the Octagon. However, according to White, this should happen in the coming months. “There is a great chance that Ronda will fight with Amanda nunes and I'm very confident that Ronda will probably fight before the end of the year”, said White, in an interview with the “Combate” channel website.
The UFC president hopes that Ronda will finally return to make her dream fight in women's MMA viable. “In a perfect world, what everyone would love to see is Ronda vs. [Cris] Cyborg. Of course everyone, including Cyborg, is waiting for the Ronda Rousey, so when Ronda comes back, I'm sure she'll want to fight for the title, then she'll probably want to defend it, and then maybe she'll face Cyborg, I don't know...We'll see how that goes,” he said.
The UFC will hold three major events that do not yet have a main fight confirmed in the final stretch of 2016. The first is UFC 205, in New York, on November 12th. White, however, has already confirmed that Ronda will not participate in the show. UFC 10 will take place on December 206th in Toronto, Canada. Finally, on December 30th, UFC 207 takes place in Las Vegas (USA).
