After losing the heavyweight belt in his last fight, Fabricio Werdum recovered this Saturday night (10), in the co-main fight of UFC 203, in Cleveland (USA). The gaucho beat Travis Browne in a duel marked by some controversy, which involved both non-compliance with a rule and a fight between Werdum and his rival's coach.

Werdum started the fight in an unusual way, delivering a flying side kick to his boyfriend's face. Ronda Rousey. Shortly afterwards, the Brazilian punched Browne in the hand, which dislocated his finger. The fight was then interrupted so that the North American could be attended to, which generated the first controversy of the duel – according to the rules, the referee cannot allow a break for an injured fighter, unless it was caused by a blow illegal (which was not the case).
Despite Werdum's protests, Browne was allowed to return to combat. The Brazilian dominated most of the actions, including knockdowns and other ineffective plastic strikes.
In the end, the Brazilian won the judges' decision unanimously. The public, however, was not satisfied and booed the fight intensely. That was when Werdum made a gesture with his hands as if he was crying, mocking the boos. At this moment, Browne's coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, got angry with the Brazilian and went to complain. Werdum kicked him to push him, which would have started a full-blown fight if it weren't for the intervention of Rafael Cordeiro (the Brazilian's trainer) and the others present in the Octagon.

One of the biggest attractions of the night, CM Punk had a debut to forget in professional MMA. The star of WWE, the North American pro-wrestling organization, did not “see the color of the ball” against Mickey gall and lost by submission in the first round.
Punk started the fight walking towards Gall, who took advantage of the moment to take down his opponent. From then on it was a monologue: Gall landed powerful blows on the ground, passed the guard, took the back and finished the fight with just over two minutes of action.
At 37 years old and quickly defeated in his first fight, CM Punk guaranteed that he will not give up on MMA. “In life, you either accept challenges or go home. I like challenges. Today was difficult, but it doesn't mean I'm going to stop. I’m going back, believe it or not,” he said, still in the Octagon.
Gall, who obtained his third victory in three professional MMA fights, challenged the “UFC darling” Sage Northcutt. “I want him next. I think he's a fool. I’m going to rip that forelock off his head”, he asked.
