Vinny Magalhães happy with M-1 belt

The Brazilian Vinícius “Pezão” Magalhães won the M-1 light heavyweight belt, a traditional Russian event, after submitting Viktor Nemkov, on the 28th. Happy with the achievement, the Tupiniquim black belt commented on how it was the first title of his career as an MMA fighter

“The title came a little earlier than I expected, but I'm very happy that they gave me the opportunity to fight, especially against Viktor Nemkov in his homeland. This meant a lot to me. Being called a champion is always great. I joked with my friends that I'm going to say I lost the belt on the plane so I don't have to give it back. It was my first belt, so I want to have it forever”, said the Brazilian.

“It was a great fight. It proved to many people that no matter how many blows I take in a fight, I will always keep fighting. Not to make excuses, but I had an infection a week before the fight. I was going to call and inform that I was unable to fight, but I decided to take a risk and won. I'm happy with the result and happy with the finish I achieved. Even though I suffered hard blows during the fight, I managed to win”, concluded the Brazilian.
