MFC welterweight champion, the Brazilian Douglas lima, is close to being Bellator's new signing. The Tupiniquim athlete, who is considered one of the greatest promises in MMA today, comes from a series of six consecutive victories in his career, and should be present in Bellator's fifth welterweight tournament, scheduled to start in September this year.

The fighter, who trains in Atlanta, has a total of 18 wins in 22 fights, five of which were by knockout, 11 by submission and only two by judge's decision. In addition to MFC, the Brazilian also participated in World Extreme Cagefighting and American Fight League.
