Tickets for UFC 204, with Bisping x Henderson, sell out in six minutes

England seems to have embraced its only champion in UFC history once and for all. UFC 204, an event to be held on October 8th in the English city of Manchester, had all its tickets sold this Friday (9th) in just six minutes.

The attraction will be headlined by the rematch between the English Michael Bisping, champion of the middleweight category, and Dan Henderson. To please the television audience in the United States, the main card of the show will start at 3am local time, which does not seem to have discouraged the English from attending the event.

“We are excited to see this demand for tickets in the UK. Taking into account the time of the event, we realized that it would not be easy. Seeing tickets being sold at this incredible speed makes me thank everyone for the enthusiasm of people who will stay up all night for the fight”, celebrated James Elliott, general director of the UFC in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Bisping became the first British UFC champion in June when he knocked out Luke Rockhold still in the first round. Before that, he had won Anderson Silva In London. At UFC 204, the Englishman will have the chance to avenge one of the most devastating defeats of his career, as he was brutally knocked out by Henderson at UFC 100, in 2009. The event will also feature Vitor belfort x Gegard Mousasi and three more Brazilians: Iuri Marajó, which faces Brad pickett, in addition to Adriano Martins and Leonardo Santos, who are dueling in Brazil.
