UFC Rio has another Brazilian confirmed on its card. The miner Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares will be in action on August 27th in the second Brazilian edition in the organization's history, which will be held at the HSBC Arena, located in Barra da Tijuca. Toquinho's opponent should be defined in the next few days by the club's directors. Ultimate.
Specialist in submissions, Toquinho is coming off a victory over North American Dave Branch at UFC on Versus 3, held in March this year. The tough guy has a record of 12 wins and three losses and his main career asset is winning the Fury FC middleweight GP, held in 2007 in São Paulo.
UFC Rio, also called UFC 134, has a total of seven confirmed fights, in addition to Toquinho's participation. The main attraction of the night will be the middleweight title fight between the champion Anderson Silva and the challenger Yushin Okami. Check out the matches scheduled so far below:
