The first polls indicated that the duel had been the third most popular in UFC history. However, these estimates are based on the acquisition of the fight via the online platform, while the official numbers are obtained through traditional television. Ultimate normally does not reveal its sales figures.

UFC 202, held on August 20, in Las Vegas (USA), once again pitted McGregor and Diaz face to face. In the first fight, in March this year, the North American won by submission. In the rematch, McGregor got the better of a close fight and won a majority decision from the judges.
