One of the fights that most intrigues MMA fans for UFC 203, this Saturday (10), features the debut of CM Punk, former pro-wrestling star. Despite there being uncertainty about how his performance will be, the fighter himself exudes confidence and believes he will win by technical knockout.

CM Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, was one of the biggest names in WWE, an organization of staged fights, better known in Brazil as telecatch. At 37 years old, Punk has never competed in MMA, and will soon make his debut on a big stage, in the octagon, against Mickey gall.

The new fighter avoided incorporating the spirit of Conor McGregor and make specific predictions about his fight, but praised his confidence in victory. “I see my arm being raised. I'm not a person who makes predictions, and I'm not sure I would fit into the role of Conor. I don't want to fill anyone's role, I'm just trying to be myself, do what I normally do. But I definitely see myself winning, and if I had to predict, I would say it will be by technical knockout,” he said, according to the website of the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”.

CM Punk prepared for his debut at Duke Roufus' gym, where he trained alongside the likes of Anthony Pettis, Erik Koch and Ben Askren. His opponent, Gall, 24 years old, has two fights in his career, with two victories. The fight will be part of the main card of UFC 203, in Cleveland (USA).
