Cyborg and Ronda have long been two of the top female MMA athletes. The two have already publicly challenged each other, but the difference in weight (Cyborg fights at 66 kg, and Ronda at 61 kg) proved to be an obstacle. Even so, the Brazilian wants the two to satisfy the fans' appeal and finally fight.

“I respect all girls, no matter who they are. But I believe there is this soap opera between Ronda and I that we need to conclude. I think it's a fight that everyone wants to see. I think they ask her the same things. This happens because it is a fight that needs to happen. Only then can we end our careers saying that we had a great fight, and not that we should have fought that fight. So, let's wait and see if she takes this initiative. It depends on her”, commented the Brazilian, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”.

For the fight to get off the ground, Ronda would have to agree to fight at catchweight, as Cyborg recently assured that she cannot go down to 61 kg. The Brazilian will duel at 63 kg on September 24, in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 95, in Brasília, against Swedish Lina Lansberg.
