Thiago Tavares looking forward to UFC Rio

Light weight Thiago tavares will be back in the octagon in the Brazilian edition of the UFC, scheduled to take place on August 27th, in Rio de Janeiro. In front of the North American Spencer Fisher, the athlete from Santa Catarina will try to rehabilitate himself in the organization, as he is coming off a defeat to Shane Roller, in March this year. Happy with being called up for the card on national territory, Thiaguinho told SUPER FIGHTS how the preparations for combat are going and the special motivation for working close to friends and family.

“The expectations are great! I'm very excited and happy to be fighting at UFC Rio, it's going to be a historic event. Some of the best fighters from Brazil and the world will be present, I can't wait to represent my Brazil and my Florianópolis inside the Octagon. I'm going to fight in front of all my friends and family”, said an excited Tavares, who is already starting training for the event.

“I started periodizing my training on Monday. Everything is already planned together with my teachers Peu, Kevin Souza, Murilo Rupp and Guiga Meirelles. We set up my next 18 weeks of training”, said Thiago, who says he is ready for combat. “My motivation is to continue showing where I can reach. Thiago is all about that, a lot of desire to win and willing to do anything to achieve that”, said the Brazilian who praised his opponent.

The fight between Thiago tavares and Spencer Fisher is confirmed for UFC 134, also called UFC Rio, which will take place at the HSBC Arena, in the capital of Rio.
