With a scheduled return to the octagon at UFC 133, on August 6, against the Japanese Yoshihiro akiyama, the brazilian Vitor belfort has a new opponent before preparing for the duel. The fighter contracted type “A” hepatitis and is resting at his home in the United States.
“Hey guys, I’m in bed. I caught hepatitis A, it feels like I was beaten, I wouldn’t wish that on my enemies,” said Belfort via his Twitter account. Despite the concerns, the black belt assured that the illness will not keep him from the fight against Yoshihiro Akiyama.
“Guys, I just want to tell you that hepatitis A is easy to treat. Don’t worry, I’ll be back training in two weeks and ready to fight on August 6th”, concluded Vitor.
