The word rest is definitely not part of the vocabulary of Donald Cerrone. After knocking out Rick Story on the 20th, at UFC 202, the fighter, who has already performed three times in 2016 alone, suggested a duel against Robbie Lawler at UFC 205, scheduled for New York.

Cerrone responded to a message from journalist Damon Martir who talked about the fact that Lawler was asking Dana White, president of the UFC, for a fight after he lost the welterweight belt to Tyron woodley, on July 30th, at UFC 201. In the message, Cowboy replied that he “knew a guy” to face Robbie, implying that he would accept the confrontation. It is worth remembering that the athlete has already used the trick to arrange other fights.
At 33 years old, the former lightweight recently renewed his contract with the UFC for another eight fights. Known for always staying very active and not turning down opponents, he has already had 22 fights in the UFC alone, with 18 wins and four losses, in addition to collecting performance bonuses for the night, 12 in total. Of the last 14 times he stepped into the octagon, he triumphed 12, being defeated only twice, both times by Rafael Dos Anjos. In total, he has 31 victories, seven setbacks and one unsuccessful fight on his record.
