NSAC tightens rules for anti-doping policy

Last Friday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission, USA, through its executive director Keith Kizer announced that it has decided to expand testing for steroids and other drugs, for fighters licensed to fight in Nevada and fighters applying for license, through random tests.
The NSAC will test fighters immediately before and after fights, but this new testing procedure will be adopted in random locations throughout the year. Additional testing will be paid for by NSAC.
The means for determining who should be subjected to testing will fall into three categories:
1- if someone has tested positive for a banned substance in the past, they must be chosen for testing.
2- additionally, if the fighter is suspected of having used a banned substance, he must also be chosen for testing.
3- the choice in this third hypothesis must be random
Tests must be completed within the deadline given by the Commission or actions may be taken such as denial of license to fight, suspension, fines, etc.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
