The Brazilian Patricky Pitbull Freire performed this Saturday night, in Connecticut, at the 39th edition of Bellator, a traditional North American MMA event. In a fight valid for the semifinals of the organization's lightweight tournament, the athlete from Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, faced Toby Imada and surprised the favorite to win the GP.
With a beautiful knockout applied in the final moments of the first round, Pitbull booked his place in the grand final of the tournament, against the winner of the fight between Michael chandler and Llyod Woodard, which will be held on April 9th.
If he manages to become champion, the Brazilian will have a bonus of US$100 as a prize, in addition to the chance to fight for the organization's title against the tough American Eddie Alvarez.
