the american Keith Jardine is the newest fighter signed by Strikeforce. The light heavyweight signed yesterday (01) with the Californian organization and already has a confirmed date for his debut at the event. Next Saturday (09), the athlete will be in action at Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley in the city of San Diego, United States.
Jardine will have as his first opponent in Strikeforce the Armenian Gegard Mousasi. Firstly, Mousasi's opponent would be the North American Mike kyle, however the athlete fractured his right hand during training and had to cancel his participation in the fight. The clash between Jardine and Mousasi will be part of the main card of the next edition of Strikeforce.
After being fired from the UFC last year after accumulating four consecutive defeats, Jardine fought for some small organizations. And it was in these smaller events that “The Dean of Mean”, as he is known, found his way to victory again. Undefeated in two fights, the athlete comes from a knockout victory over his compatriot Aaron Lofton No. Fresquez Productions – Double Threat, which took place on the 4th.
O Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley will feature two title fights on its card. In one of them, the lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez will put his belt on the line against the Japanese Tatsuya Kawajiri. In the main attraction of the night, the welterweight belt holder Nick Diaz will defend his title against the English Paul Daley. Check out the full event card below:
