The fifteenth edition of Strikeforce Challengers will be held today (01) in the city of Stockton, United States. The only Brazilian on the event card, Rodrigo Damm will make his second fight in the Californian organization when facing the North American Justin Wilcox in the main attraction of the night.
A specialist in submissions, Damm obtained five of his nine victories on his record by submission. However, the Brazilian is not going through one of the best phases of his career, having been defeated in three of his last four fights. The São Paulo native's last setback occurred at Sengoku 13, where he was knocked out by the Venezuelan Maximum white last June in Japan.
Wilcox, in turn, is undefeated in five fights in his career. In his most recent fight, the former bodybuilder and wrestler from the NCAA (main North American university division) defeated the Brazilian Victor Shaolin, in the unanimous decision of the judges, at Strikeforce Challengers 12, held last November.
Strikeforce Challengers 15 will also feature eight more clashes on its card. The loss of this edition was due to the departure of the Japanese Satoshi Ishii, who, due to problems with his visa, had to postpone his MMA debut on American soil. Check out the fights scheduled for tonight below:
