In the first duel between Jon Fitch and B.J. Penn, held in January this year, the fight was very competitive during the three rounds, and at the end of the 15 minutes of combat, two judges declared a draw, while another saw Fitch's victory. It was expected that the winner of the fight would be the next challenger for the organization's welterweight belt against the winner of the clash between the Canadian Georges St Pierre and the North American Jake Shields, who will face each other at UFC 129, April 30th.
