The Brazilian Daniel gracie will debut tonight in the Bellator Fighting Championships light heavyweight GP. The tough guy will face the North American Tim Carpenter in one of the quarter-finals of the tournament that will be held today (25) in the 38th edition of the event.
Daniel is coming off a submission victory (rear naked choke) over the Swede Martin Wojcik at the Israeli Fighting Championship – Genesis, which took place last November. The Tupiniquim athlete has a record of five wins, two defeats and one draw, with four submissions in his career.
In turn, Carpenter will put on the line an unbeaten record of six fights as a professional. The American's most recent victory came last October, when he overcame his compatriot Jamal Patterson, in a split decision by the judges, at Bellator 33.
