The city of Seattle, in the United States, hosts the 26th edition of UFC Fight Night this Saturday (24th). With 12 fights on the fight program, the main attraction of the night will be the fight between the Brazilian Rogério “Minotouro” Nogueira against the undefeated North American Phil Davis.
Coming from defeat to Ryan bader, at UFC 119, the fighter from Bahia knows he needs to win to regain his prestige in the organization. However, Mintouro recognizes that the task will not be easy.
“The guy is new, he’s good. He was a national wrestling champion and four-time All American (the main wrestling title in the United States). He doesn't really have much experience, but he has an interesting record and is undefeated. So, I don't consider that in a fight like this he doesn't have a favorite. The technical level is very high and the athletes cannot make mistakes”, analyzed the Brazilian.
The UFC Fight Night 24 fight program features yet another Brazilian in action: acting on the preliminary card, Mario Miranda will measure strength against Aaron simpson. Coming from a defeat against the Brazilian Demian Maia, “Super Mário”, as the fighter from Rio is known, knows he needs to win to continue in the event and fuel his private dream of fighting at UFC Rio. To do this, Miranda knows his opponent's ability, but trusts in his potential.
“He (Aaron Simpson) is a great wrestler and has a heavy hand, but I think I'm better technically, and physical preparation could be decisive in this fight. I'm really happy with my preparation, everything was well planned. It was definitely the fight for which I was able to prepare best. I hope to get more exposure in Brazil. UFC Rio would be perfect”, analyzes the fighter, who is looking for his second victory in Ultimate.
