Diaz's team criticizes McGregor's 'childish' behavior at press conference

The widespread fight between Conor McGregor and the team Nate diaz at the pre-UFC 202 press conference, last Wednesday (17), continues to resonate behind the scenes of Ultimate. The North American's team criticized the Irishman's “childish” behavior, which showed psychological instability during the incident.

McGregor and Diaz argued at the final stage of the press conference, held in Las Vegas (USA). Because the Irishman arrived late for his appointment, Diaz left the press conference before it had even ended, which sparked an argument between the fighters. While leaving the place, the athletes started a fight using plastic bottles, in addition to a lot of swearing on both sides.

Diaz's boxing coach, Richard Perez believes that his athlete exposed McGregor's psychological fragility. “I think he [Conor] did that to try to piss off Nate, but that didn't happen. What happened was that he arrived late, all arrogant, and started talking. Then Nate said 'OK, he's late, I'm leaving because I have commitments'. Then McGregor didn't like it. He was caught off guard and was speechless, which made him angry. Nate did the right thing by leaving and it angered McGregor. He didn't like it and didn't know how to deal with it. So, he acted childish and started throwing bottles, which he shouldn't have done”, he analyzed, in an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast.

Nate's older brother, Nick Diaz stated that McGregor hit a child with a bottle he threw. The fighter also posted a video on his Instagram account in which a girl says she was hit by the object. “Dude, why are you hitting kids with bottles?” asked Nick.

Conor McGregor e Nate diaz face each other in the main fight of UFC 202, an event that takes place this Saturday (20). In the first confrontation between the two, in March, Diaz won by submission in the second round.
