UFC 128: Shogun faces Jones for UFC belt this Saturday

Everything is ready at the Prudential Center, in New Jersey, for UFC 128, an event that takes place this Saturday, in the city of Newark, in the United States. In the main attraction of the night, the Brazilian Mauritius Shogun puts his light heavyweight belt on the line for the first time against the North American Jon Jones, considered the new UFC sensation.

Elected as MMA's revelation in 2010, Jones, just 23 years old, guarantees he is well prepared, but shows anxiety for the start of the fight.

“I feel good, this is a great opportunity and I can’t wait to define this situation soon,” said the North American. Shogun, recognizing his opponent's skills, does not fail to praise his opponent, but guarantees that the belt will stay in Brazil for longer.

”Jones is a very dangerous opponent and always fights very calmly, demonstrating everything he knows. I have to be very careful with his ground and pound (punches from above in ground fighting). This is the most important fight of my life and I plan to hold this belt for a long time”, said the Brazilian.

The UFC 128 fight program will feature, in addition to the title defense, Mauricio Shogun, with five more Brazilians in action: Edson Barboza will face Anthony Njokuani, Ricardo “Cachorrão” Almeida will face Mike pyle, Gleison Tibau will measure forces against Kurt Pellegrino, Luiz “Banha” Cané will face the American Eliot Marshall, and Raphael Assunção makes his UFC debut against Erik Koch.
