Fabrício Werdum has a rematch with Travis Browne at UFC 203

With less than a month to go, UFC 203 suffered a major loss. Ben Rothwell, who would have the co-main fight of the night against Fabricio Werdum, suffered an injury and was cut from the event, which leaves the Brazilian momentarily without an opponent.

The information was revealed by the North American website “MMA Junkie”. Rothwell injured his knee, with a suspected tear in the meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament. The UFC has not yet confirmed his departure from the card, but is already looking for a replacement.

Rothwell, 34 years old, would try to recover from the defeat suffered in his last fight, in April, when he was defeated by junior gypsy at UFC Zagreb. Werdum is also coming off a defeat: he lost by knockout to Stipe Miocic in the main fight of UFC 198, in Curitiba, which cost him the category belt.

UFC 203 will take place on September 10th, in Cleveland (USA). In the main fight of the night, local athlete Miocic makes his first title defense against alistair overeem.
