The traffic controversy in which he was involved in March, when he argued with a police officer and received several fines, became cheap for Jon Jones. The UFC fighter reached an agreement with the court in Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA), and will not need to be detained again: instead, he will have to take a driving course and perform 60 hours of community service.

On March 24, Jones was stopped by a traffic cop who claimed that the athlete was taking a drag on the streets of Albuquerque. The American, outraged by the accusation, denied the police officer and called him a “despicable pig”.

Thus, the athlete received five fines: in addition to the split, the others were for having an excessively noisy exhaust, an illegible sign, disrespecting the stripes painted on the asphalt and reckless driving.

This Thursday (11), Jones admitted guilt for modifying the exhaust and using an illegible license plate and received a more lenient sentence. However, if he does not comply with the punishment established by the courts, the fighter will be sentenced to 90 days in prison.

If Jones' personal life is turbulent, it is not much different in the sporting sphere. The North American is suspended from fighting after being caught in an anti-doping test a few days before UFC 200. His trial is yet to take place, but the expectation is that Jones will be sentenced to two years away.
