'Nobody cares about Ronda and her fat arms anymore', says Peña

Current fifth place in the category believes, however, that the former champion will return to fighting at the end of the year in a fight for the belt

For months now, the UFC's women's bantamweight division has been in an impasse regarding the likely return of Ronda Rousey to the octagon. Julianna Pena, currently fifth in the division's official ranking, considers that all these expectations are unjustified, since “nobody cares” about the former champion anymore.

According to Peña, Ronda has been experiencing a moment of great personal vulnerability since losing the category belt in November last year. “It's as if the king were naked, you know? She's a little broken. I don't think anyone really cares anymore Ronda Rousey and his fat arms, but maybe some people care. So, I think Amanda [Nunes, current champion of the category] will wait for this fight for the belt, and then we’ll see what happens”, said Julianna, in an interview with the North American website “TMZ”.

The fighter also gave her prediction for Ronda's return. “I think she will fight again before the end of the year. That's what I heard. But I'll only believe it when I see it, when she signs the contract. They say she will come back, so we’ll see,” she added.

Ronda's last appearance in the octagon was precisely in the crushing defeat to Holly holm at UFC 193, when she was knocked out and lost the belt. Since then, the title has changed hands twice: Holm was submitted by Miesha Tate in March, and Tate fell to Amanda nunes in July.
