Judoka Rafaela Silva made history last Monday (08), when she won the gold medal at the Rio Olympics. After facing harsh criticism when she was eliminated from the London Games in 2012, the Brazilian turned things around , beat five opponents to reach the highest place on the podium in her hometown.
During the run-up to the Olympics, Rafaela had some very special training. Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey, on his last visit to Brazil, was at the Brazilian's gym and 'exchanged footprints' with the gold medalist.
Ronda, who won the bronze medal at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, was at the Reação institute, which revealed Rafa, and even guided the Brazilian during a ground projection. The moment can be watched in the video below;
