Shogun and Jones respect each other in the last press conference before UFC-128

Respect and disorganization were the hallmarks of the last press conference before UFC 128, an event that takes place next Saturday, in Newark, in the United States. The Brazilian Mauricio Shogun and the North American Jon Jones, who will star in the main fight of the night, show great caution in their responses. Even Jones, who in recent interviews assured that he would easily beat the athlete from Curitiba, this time was more thoughtful and praised Mauricio.

“I saw all his fights in Pride, he's really incredible,” admits Jones.

“I don’t know the personality of the Jon Jones, but what he said won't shake me. Everyone has their own personality and acts the way they think is right,” said Shogun. The Brazilian also assured that he doesn't care about the North American's favoritism, but claims that he will seek the knockout.

“He's a guy who's been winning fights easily and he deserves that (being a favorite),” he said. “If I could choose an ending, it would be a knockout,” predicted the Brazilian.

At the end of the press conference, Dana White, president of the UFC, opened the questions to the fans who followed the conference and the atmosphere became tense. Some asked for tickets to the top hat, while others went further. A fan, who introduced himself as Antonny, asked, shouting, if Jon Jones I really thought I could beat Shogun. The athlete didn't like the provocation and asked him to come on stage. With the atmosphere tense, the conference broadcast was ended before the end.
