After a real rollercoaster of emotions, Wilson reis had a happy outcome at UFC 201, an event held this Saturday (30), in Atlanta, in the United States. In the third fight of the night, the Brazilian quickly dispatched newcomer Hector Sandoval and, as a bonus, broke a record in the flyweight division.

Originally, Reis would have the second most important fight of the event, fighting for the belt in the under-57 kg category. However, the weight champion, Demetrious Johnson, was injured, and the Brazilian had to accept another opponent at the last minute.

Even with a fight with much less appeal, Reis showed seriousness in the Octagon. After good blows from Sandoval in the initial exchange, the Brazilian clinched and took the fight to the ground. The two tangled for a few moments, until Wilson fell on top, onto his opponent's back. From then on, all the Brazilian had to do was lock in the rear-naked choke and finish the fight, 1min49s into the action, the fastest submission in the history of the flyweight division in the UFC.

In this way, Reis achieved his second consecutive victory in the UFC, as he had a positive result against Dustin Ortiz. Sandoval, on the other hand, accumulated the third defeat in his career, interrupting a sequence of four consecutive victories.
