Despite good fights and very popular names on the card, UFC on Versus 3, an event held on February 3, in Louisville, did not reach the expected audience in the United States. According to the MMA Junkie website, less than 700 people watched the show, the worst number of the three editions of the UFC in partnership with the North American TV channel.
In the first edition of UFC on Versus, held in March 2010, the event reached 1,24 million viewers. In the second edition, held in August 2010, the audience was 991 thousand. Already third edition, which featured as its main attraction the fight between Diego Sanchez e Martin Kampmann, the number was just 681 thousand.
Despite the significant drop in audience, the number was slightly the average for the Versus channel, at broadcast time, which is 601 thousand viewers.
