The Ultime Fighting Championship arrives this Saturday in Sydney, Australia, for UFC 127. The show, which produces its second event in the country, will not feature Brazilians on the card, but features fights that promise to excite the public present at the event. Acer Arena. In the main attraction of the night, the Hawaiian B.J. Penn will measure forces against North American Jon fitch, where the winner becomes a contender for the organization's welterweight belt.

PUBLICITY:

Penn, who is a former lightweight and welterweight champion, says that despite the incredible knockout against Matt hugs, in his last appearance, at UFC 123, still isn't thinking about fighting for the belt, but is excited for the duel against Fitch.

PUBLICITY:

“I'm not thinking about titles yet. I'm already happy to have the opportunity to fight a guy of Fitch's level and stature”, said BJ during the press conference.

PUBLICITY:

Unlike BJ, Jon Fitch never held a UFC belt, but that doesn't discredit the North American, who appeared on 14 occasions in the organization and was defeated only once. The only setback was for the champion Georges St-Pierre, in a fight valid for the welterweight belt at UFC 87, in 2008. Since that confrontation, Fitch has had five fights and won them all, but, despite his good record, he knows he cannot be careless against BJ.

“He is dangerous in any category. If you make a mistake, he is able to take advantage of it and win the fight. I may even have an advantage, because of my size, but that's not enough. I had to work a lot on my speed and explosiveness. I can’t make any mistakes in this fight”, explains Fitch.

In addition to the fight between B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch, UFC 127 brings other good duels: Valid in the lightweight category, the Australian George Sotyropoulos face the German Dennis siver, while, in the middleweight division, the Englishman Michael Bisping faces the North American Jorge Rivera.
