Considered the fifth best featherweight in the UFC today, Chad Mendes received a two-year suspension from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) after being caught in an exam carried out outside the competition period.
Mendes, 31 years old, had growth hormone in his system in a surprise test collected on May 17th. Less than a month later, on June 10, the American was provisionally suspended. This Wednesday (20), the definitive suspension was made official, which lasts two years from the beginning of the provisional suspension of the athlete. Therefore, Mendes must remain away from activity until June 10, 2018.
