Three former UFC champions were featured in the trailer for the film “Kickboxer Vengeance,” starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Fabricio Werdum, Cain Velazquez e Georges St Pierre appeared in the preview of the film, which is a remake from the classic “Kickboxer – The Dragon Challenge”.
The film tells the story of a fighter, Kurt Sloan, who tries to avenge the death of his older brother during a kickboxing competition in Thailand. Sloan will have to defeat the feared Tong Po with the help of his brother's former mentor.
The trio of former champions play Sloan's training partners, under the command of Van Damme. The film also stars former Strikeforce fighter Gina Carano, as well as WWE star Dave Bautista, who plays the main villain.
“Kickboxer Vengeance” is scheduled to debut in North American theaters on September 2nd. Check out the trailer below:
