Dominick Cruz he no longer seems to have any opponents in the UFC's bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg). Even though he has only had three fights since 2014 – due to a serious knee injury – the American has beaten all his rivals in the division and aims for bigger dreams. The 'Dominator' revealed his desire to move up to featherweight (up to 65,7 kg.) and compete for the category title against the Brazilian José Aldo.

“Is the featherweight title up for grabs? Who knows?” said Cruz, remembering Jose aldo, interim champion, and Conor McGregor owner of the linear belt. The American also considered that Conor, who has a fight scheduled in the welterweight category against Nate diaz, stay away without unifying his title, he would agree to move up in weight and face José Aldo for the interim belt.

“McGregor could get hurt in the fight against Nate diaz and be out for six to seven months, and then they would need someone to fight for the interim belt. I'm willing to jump in there and fight for the interim title and keep two belts. Why not? At 66 kg, I would do it in a heartbeat. This is much more fun”, added Cruz.

Dominick Cruz, 30 years old, is the greatest bantamweight in MMA history. The fighter has a professional record of 22 wins and just one loss. The North American maintains an incredible sequence of 13 consecutive victories against names like Tj dillashaw, Urijah faber e Demetrious Johnson. If he manages to win the featherweight division belt, Cruz would join Randy Couture and BJ as the only champions in two different weight divisions. However, he would be the only one to hold two belts simultaneously.
