UFC president Dana White recently confirmed his intentions to hold a rematch between Bisping and Henderson. The North American already defeated the current champion with a devastating knockout in 2009, and asked for a new fight against his rival in what would be his farewell to MMA.
In a conversation with the North American radio “Sirius XM”, Bisping reiterated the boss’s words and added more details. “I can confirm that my next fight, I believe, will be in Manchester, in October, against Dan Henderson. It will be a pay-per-view event, so we will do it around 4 am to attract the audience in the United States”, revealed the champion.
Bisping is confident that he will avenge one of the most devastating defeats he has ever suffered. “At UFC 100, I lost in style. Congratulations to him. But I didn't know he was taking testosterone replacement therapy. It has irritated me ever since. October is right around the corner, just 13 weeks left until the fight. So I'm going to get there, knock Dan Henderson and make him pay for what happened in 2009”, he promised.
Bisping and Henderson last fought at the same event, UFC 199, on June 4. The Englishman ran over Luke Rockhold to win the belt, and, shortly before, “Hendo” knocked out Hector Lombard.
