Brazilian John Lineker proved he can make some noise in the Ultimate bantamweight division. On Wednesday night (13), the man from Paraná took no notice of Michael McDonald, number four in the division's ranking, and knocked out the North American in just over three minutes of fighting. McDonald, with greater wingspan, took the center of the cage and tried to control the distance. However, the Brazilian quickly closed the distance and began to unleash his arsenal of punches. Known by the nickname ‘Stone Hands’, Lineker lived up to his nickname in style.

The Paraná native landed a right bomb and his rival bent his knee. Lineker fired a series of crosses and got the knockdown.

McDonald, despite feeling the blows, managed to get up and accepted the frank exchange. The American managed to land some good punches on the Brazilian, but Lineker connected with a left hand bomb again and Michael went to the ground, already knocked out.

At the end of the fight, John Lineker did not hide his happiness at the victory and is already looking forward to his fight against Dominick Cruz, category champion

Ferguson suffers, but beats debutant and asks for title shot

The suffocation was greater than expected, but Tony Ferguson defeated Landon Vannata and should be the next challenger for the lightweight belt.

To achieve victory, however, the number three in the lightweight division suffered in the first round. Vannata, who was making his UFC debut, put on a great show in the stand-up fight.

The debutante, who replaced Michael chiesa With little time to spare, he let his guard down, invited Ferguson to exchange blows and connected several blows on the favorite.

Vannata managed to get a knockdown after blocking a shot from Tony and hitting his rival's head afterwards. But Ferguson managed to withstand the pressure and return to contention in the second round.

When the fight resumed, Ferguson threw a flying punch, which shook his opponent and opened the way to victory. Afterwards, already on the ground, he landed a hand triangle and secured the triumph.
