Lineker misses the weigh-in, but confirms fight at UFC Fight Night 91

The marathon of Ultimate events continues this Wednesday (13th) with UFC Fight Night 91. But before stepping into the Octagon, the fighters had to go through the scale challenge at the night's official weigh-in.

Protagonist of the main fight, Brazilian John Lineker had a scare. After having difficulties reaching the weight limit for the flyweight division, the man from Paraná moved up to the bantamweight category, but the scales narrowly failed to punish him again. Lineker had to use the pound (around 455 grams) of tolerance, in fights that are not valid for the belt, to confirm the duel in the bantamweight division against Canadian Michael McDonald.

During the traditional face-off, the fighters showed respect and smiled for the photos with their fists clenched.

UFC Fight Night 91 takes place this Wednesday (13), starting at 19pm (Brasília time). In addition to Lineker, Brazil will have another representative at the show: the Brasilia native Rani Yaya has the second fight of the event against the American Matthew Lopez.
