Current UFC light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier was irritated by the criticism made by Donald Cerrone for his performance at UFC 200, an event held last Saturday (9) in Las Vegas (USA).

Even though Cormier completely dominated the actions against Anderson Silva, Cerrone criticized the champion by stating that he fought in the octagon “like a fagot”. In his response, Cormier criticized Cerrone for some of his defeats in Ultimate.
“My reaction to Donald is: shut up. Has he gone crazy? What is this guy talking about? He can say whatever he wants. If he had a problem with my fight, he could have told me that day. But do it publicly? Who do you think he is, the greatest fighter of all time? You're the guy who fell for Anthony Pettis in the first round, after taking a kick to the body? Are you the guy who was dominated by [Rafael] Dos Anjos in the first round and fell?”, he said, in an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”.
Dissatisfied, Cormier promised to address the matter with Cerrone in a future meeting between the two. “You gotta be classy, man. Donald, this isn't the Wild West, where you can walk around in your stupid cowboy boots, with your hat on, spitting tobacco and talking nonsense. You need to have respect and class. Don't disrespect me like that. At the end of the day, I am a man. When I see you, we will talk and discuss this matter,” he added.
Cerrone, an athlete in the UFC welterweight category, is a training partner with Jon Jones, Cormier's arch-rival and who would be the champion's original opponent at UFC 200. However, Jones ended up being cut from the fight for failing an anti-doping test, replaced by Anderson.
