Gadelha's coach recognizes Jedrzjeczyk's superiority: 'It was her day'

Jair Lourenço was surprised by the Brazilian's fatigue and noticed mistakes in the Polish player's game

Even after losing the rematch against her rival Joanna Jedrzejczyk at TUF Finale 23 last Friday (8), the Brazilian Claudia gadelha showed a good performance during the fight. One of his coaches, Jair Lourenço, praised his athlete's performance, but recognized that the night belonged to the Polish opponent.

In an interview with the 'Combate' channel website, the leader of Kimura Nova União praised his athlete's performance, but was surprised by the fatigue shown by Gadelha during the fight due to the high pace of the fight and several attempts to take Joanna to the floor.

“She had a great fight, so much so that she was awarded best of the night. We didn't expect her to get tired because she was very well prepared, but the pace of the fight was very strong. If she had controlled the ground in the first rounds, when she took down, she would have made a difference in the fourth and fifth (round). She spent a lot of energy trying to take the fall several times. Unfortunately, it was Joanna’s day,” she said.
