According to a list released by the Nevada Athletic Commission, Lesnar received no less than US$2,5 million just to step into the octagon against Mark Hunt, in a fight that he won with a unanimous decision from the judges. This far surpasses the previous record in the organization's history, which was Conor McGregor. At the time, the Irishman received US$1 million for his UFC 196 fight, in which he ended up defeated by Nate diaz by completion.

It is worth remembering that Lesnar's purse is only the value declared by the UFC, without including slices of pay-per-view sales, sponsorships or other bonuses eventually paid by the organization.

On the other hand, Cormier was left at a loss with the sudden departure of Jon Jones of the event. The linear champion would receive a US$1 million purse to headline the show, but, with the change of opponent, his payment was cut in half, receiving US$500. Anderson Silva, his rival on the night, took home a little more, US$600.
