Amanda nunes made history this Saturday night (9), at UFC 200. The Brazilian massacred Miesha Tate and won the Ultimate women's bantamweight belt, thus becoming the first Brazilian to hold a title in the main MMA organization on the planet.
The Bahian needed just a few minutes to complete her mission in the octagon. After denying a takedown attempt by the American, Amanda landed good blows and shook the champion. Miesha then fell down completely groggily, which opened the door for the Brazilian to take her back, apply a choke and win the title.
Thus, the female bantamweight category, once dominated by Ronda Rousey, meets its fourth champion in just over a semester. In November 2015, Holly holm he knocked out Ronda to take the title, but lost to Miesha in his first defense, in March. Tate, then, is yet another champion in the category to lose the belt in her first defense. Watch the best moments below Amanda nunes x Miesha Tate!
