The official weigh-in for UFC Fight Night 90, this Wednesday (6), in Las Vegas, was marked by the peaceful look between the fighters. Highlights of the night, the lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos and challenger Eddie Alvarez broke the category limit and made this Thursday's title fight official (7).

In his second title defense, the Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos maintained a serious standard at the top of the scale, just as his opponent did. With the weight taken, both made a serious face, but soon greeted each other afterwards.

Approached by Jon Anik shortly after the face-off, Dos Anjos was short and blunt, showing confidence that he will win against the challenger. “I have been training very hard. I have no doubt that I will take my belt back home,” he stated seriously.

A little more relaxed, Alvarez thanked his fans who were present at the arena and stated that he is ready to become the new champion of the lightweight category. “I'm ready and very happy. I've been training for this day my entire life. I’m ready.”, he stated.

In addition to the night's protagonists, all the fighters on the card punched above their weight in their categories, including the Brazilian legion that will be part of the card. With emphasis on Gilbert Durinho e Felipe Sertanejo, who entered the stage displaying the Brazilian flag, the athletes Alberto Miná (77,5 kg), Dileno Lopes (61,2kg), Peter Munhoz (61,2kg), Reginaldo Vieira (61 kg) e Vincent Luque (77,1 kg) beat the weight of their categories.

UFC Fight Night 90 will take place this Thursday (7) and will start at 19:30 pm with full coverage of the SUPER FIGHTS, with narration of the fights in real time, combat reports and post-event interviews.
