Alan Belcher plans return to UFC within three months

After having his career put at risk due to a dislocated retina in his right eye, the American Alan belcher could return to action within a few months. Initially the athlete was scheduled to face the Brazilian Demian Maia in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 22, which took place last September, but the injury acquired during his preparation in Brazil forced Belcher to withdraw from the card.

According to the fighter's doctor, within 90 days the North American will be cleared to return to the UFC. And for his first commitment in 2011, Belcher highlighted his desire to face renowned athletes who, if he wins, could put him back on the path towards the organization's middleweight belt.

“I'm negotiating my next fight with Joe Silva. I need my fans to ask for big names, like Wand, (Demian) Maia or (Michael) Bisping”, wrote the fighter on his Twitter.

“The Talent”, as he is nicknamed, comes from two consecutive victories in the UFC. The first was obtained by knockout over the Brazilian Wilson Gouvêa, at UFC 107, and the second about the Canadian patrick cote in May last year, when he was awarded the bonus for best submission of the night at UFC 113.
