The American of Irish descent, Marcus Davis, left the UFC after racking up two consecutive defeats, but the 38-year-old veteran fighter hopes to return to action soon. In an interview with Tapology, Davis guarantees that he has received some proposals, but is waiting for contact from Strikeforce, Ultimate's main competitor.
“Nothing is official yet, but we have had some offers. I received inquiries from the United Kingdom and other European countries, but I was hoping to hear something from Strikeforce,” said Marcus. The fighter, however, claims that the show chaired by Scott Coker chooses not to hire athletes who are fired from the UFC.
“I know they started not signing fighters who leave the UFC with losses. It's all business and I don't make any of these decisions personally”, guarantees Davis, who ends by stating that Strikeforce can count on his talent.
“For me, Strikeforce is missing out on exciting fights if they don't sign me,” he concluded.
