Nick Diaz Submits Cyborg with an armbar
the american Nick Diaz always had the reputation of being a “Bad Boy”, but after beating the Brazilian Cyborg Evangelist last Saturday (29) and defend the Strikeforce welterweight belt, Cesar Gracie's black belt showed a lot of humility. In the press conference after the fight, Diaz praised the Tupiniquim athlete, who according to the champion had a good strategy for the confrontation.
“Cyborg was very smart in this fight. He did a good job preparing for this fight. I almost want to say I’m proud of the guy,” Diaz said. The black belt, however, guarantees that the Brazilian's biggest mistake was taking the fight to the ground in the final moments of the second, where Nick ended up ending the fight with a beautiful arm-bar.
“I've said this a lot of times, I'll throw punches, but if they put me down, I'm a black belt in jiu-jitsu under Cesar Gracie. People know it's a mistake to take me down because I'm a submission,” he concluded.
