In his last appearances in the octagon, Rafael dos Anjos has been impressing the public with impeccable performances. However, the fighter will be able to improve even further in his next fight, this Thursday (7), when he will defend the UFC lightweight belt against Eddie Alvarez.

This is what Dos Anjos' head coach, Rafael Cordeiro, guarantees. According to the leader of the Kings MMA gym, the lightweight champion will be “flying low” in the Octagon. “You can expect the best Rafael of all time. A very motivated Rafael, with extra strength, the strength of the Lord. I believe it will be a great fight,” he said, in an interview with the UFC website in Brazil.

Cordeiro highlighted Alvarez's aggressiveness, but considers that Dos Anjos' game will be the difference in the duel. “Alvarez likes to move forward and has a lot of experience. We expect a conflict fight, with two athletes looking for a knockout. I believe there will come a time when Alvarez will see that Rafael's level is different. It's no wonder he got where he is. The level of athletes that Rafael faced in the UFC is different from the level of athletes that Alvarez took out. The level of difficulty of the athletes they put in front of Rafael made him the best fighter. I'm not dismissing what Alvarez did in the past but, in terms of technical quality, Rafael fought with tougher guys”, he compared.

Dos Anjos and Alvarez are in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 90, which takes place in the city of Las Vegas (USA). This will be the Brazilian's second title defense, who, in December 2015, ran over Donald Cerrone still in the first round.
