In an official statement, the president of West Promotion, Paulo Vasconcellos, responsible for promoting the Super Challenge Grappling, goes public especially to praise the fighters who agreed to put themselves to the test in the event. For Paulo, the losses suffered recently on the card are the greatest proof that the Super Challenge Grappling, with its innovative rules, will be the biggest Submission tournament ever held. The event is confirmed for December 8th, at Clube Athletico Paulistano, in São Paulo. Below is the statement:
“In no way will the casualties suffered recently take away the shine of the event. The names we have confirmed already guarantee that it will be the biggest tournament of all time! It's really a shame that we can't count on stars the size of Roger gracie, Robert Drysdale, Marcelo Garcia and Jacaré. However, the fact that some claim that the time to prepare for an event like the Super Challenge Grappling was not enough only gives us the certainty that the tournament is indeed very tough and that, considering our rules, the athlete has to be 100% prepared both physically and technically.
