Last Saturday (18), during UFC Ottawa, in Canada, fighter Valérie Létourneau seemed bothered by the blows she suffered from Joanne calderwood in the chest region. In one of the kicks she received in the region, the Canadian turned her back, cowered and ended up being knocked out. But she herself made a point of clarifying that the problem wasn't exactly the opponent's kick.

Létourneau revealed that, at that moment, she was being hampered by a problem with her bra, and Calderwood's kicks, according to her, were not bothersome. “I've been practicing martial arts for 17 years and I have no problems with getting hit in the chest. It's the rule, and it's no worse than a low kick. My only problem during the fight was that my bra literally slipped under my breasts. That's why I stared at the referee, embarrassed, and have no idea what JoJo said to me. But I kept fighting. A lot of people made fun of me and said that I couldn't take blows to the chest, but I have nothing to prove about the blows I can take without complaining”, explained the fighter, in a text published on her Facebook account.
To make her male followers understand her problem, the Canadian made a direct analogy. “Boys, would you be able to continue fighting without distractions if your testicles kept slipping out of your shorts? Anyway, this is no excuse for my defeat, but I wanted to clarify that part of the fight,” she added.
Létourneau, former challenger for the strawweight belt, suffered her second straight defeat in the UFC. Scottish Calderwood got the better of the fight with a technical knockout in the third round.
