UFC announces debut of CM Punk, telecatch star, for September

The UFC confirmed that former telecatch star CM Punk will finally make his debut for the organization on September 10th, during UFC 203, an event that will be held in the city of Cleveland, in the United States.

On that occasion, CM Punk, 37 years old, will face Mickey gall in a fight valid for the welterweight category. It will be Punk's first official appearance in a professional MMA fight. He was, for a long time, one of the main figures in WWE, as well as Brock Lesnar, who will return to the UFC next month.

The UFC confirmed CM Punk's arrival at the organization in December 2014. Afterwards, the new MMA fighter began training intensively at the Roufusport gym, in Milwaukee (USA), alongside Anthony Pettis, to make his debut. Originally his first fight would be in June, at UFC 199, but an injury forced the fight to be postponed.

Gall “qualified himself” to face CM Punk in February this year, when he quickly beat Mike Jackson. At 24 years old, the athlete has an undefeated record of two wins in two MMA fights.

The main fight of UFC 203 will be between Stipe Miocic e alistair overeem, valid for the organization's heavyweight belt. On the same night, the former champion Fabricio Werdum tries to come back against Ben Rothwell.
