Fight Saturday in Killeen, in the United States. Tonight (22) the Texan city hosts the twenty-third edition of UFC Fight Night, an event also called Fight for the Troops 2, in honor of the North American troops fighting outside the country. The main attraction of the night will be the lightweights Melvin guillard e Evan dunham, who are trying to assert themselves in the most competitive category of the promotion. The show features three Brazilians on the preliminary card, who need to win to stay alive in the organization.
Amilcar Alves will try to recover from the defeat suffered to Mike Pierce at UFC-118 against Charlie Brenneman. The Nova União athlete is his responsibility, but is calm about the challenge.
“I know that the responsibility is enormous and that I have to do a good job to continue in the event, but I am very calm”, says the carioca. “I've been training a lot and I'm sure I'll only come out of there with victory”, he added.
Yes, Rani Yaya will make his UFC debut, after the merger of the event into the WEC, the black belt is coming off a defeat to Takeya mizugaki in WEC-48 and tries to recover against Mike Brown.
“Being in the UFC is already a huge motivation, like a dream. I will fight hard to win and show my best”, explains the fighter
Third Brazilian in the event will be Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire, who after recovering from a knee injury that postponed his UFC debut, will face off against an American Waylon Lowe
“I'm in my moment. I believe a lot in destiny and, if I was injured at the time, it was because it wasn't the time to debut. I am very well prepared and, like every fighter, I hope to come out of there with a big victory”, he concludes.
